Refresh your summer exercise routine with water exercises. They provide a full body workout and they can help diminish pain from stiff achy joints. Water exercises increase muscle strength and joint range of motion and help improve core strength and stability.

Morningside’s outdoor pool is heated to a comfortable 84-86 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. It’s the perfect temperature for loosening stiff joints and encouraging ease of movement. For those who prefer the encouragement of a group environment, Morningside offers weekly classes — Aqua Aerobics on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. and Dip-N-Be-Fit on Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. We also have a new once-a-month Saturday Aqua Groove class. Swimming or walking laps in the pool are also great forms of exercise. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced swimmer, everyone can benefit from water exercise.

If your exercise routine is starting to feel a bit stale, is no longer challenging or is leaving you more tired and sore than before, it’s time to make a change. Take the plunge into water exercise.
